TrackGlow uses a 2-stage process. Stage 1 is reference matching: it analyzes a real reference track from the artist you picked and matches your track's EQ curve and loudness to it — the same technique professional mastering engineers use at studios like Bernie Grundman Mastering. Stage 2 applies artist-specific character effects: subtle glue compression, analog-style saturation, EQ shaping, and spatial processing tuned to each artist's sonic signature. For example, the Travis Scott preset adds atmospheric reverb and mid-scoop darkness, while the Wu-Tang preset applies lo-fi texture and boom-bap drum punch.

EQ matching (stage 1) analyzes a real reference track from the artist and adjusts your track's frequency balance and loudness to match it — this handles the heavy lifting. Artist presets (stage 2) add the subtle sonic character on top: the warm analog saturation of a Death Row release, the atmospheric reverb of a Travis Scott track, or the dusty lo-fi texture of a Wu-Tang beat. Multiband compression splits your audio into frequency bands (sub, low-mids, hi-mids, highs) and compresses each independently. This is critical for 808-heavy tracks because it lets you tighten your sub bass without squashing your vocals or hi-hats. Without it, a standard compressor reacts to your loudest 808 hits and ducks everything else. TrackGlow's Loud & Punchy style preset uses 4-band multiband compression — your 808s stay controlled while mids and highs breathe naturally.

Spotify normalizes to -14 LUFS integrated, Apple Music to -16 LUFS, YouTube to -14 LUFS, and SoundCloud to roughly -14 LUFS. If your master is louder than the platform target, it gets turned down — and overly compressed loud masters sound worse after normalization than properly targeted ones. TrackGlow's platform targeting feature normalizes your output to the exact LUFS standard for your chosen platform, with true-peak limiting to prevent clipping.

Parallel compression (aka NY compression) blends your original dry signal with a heavily compressed copy. Instead of compressing everything and losing transients, you keep the punch of the original while adding the density and sustain of the crushed signal underneath.
