6ix9ine Type Beat Mastering: Maximum Aggression and Loudness

Get the GOOBA-era aggressive trap sound — heavy 808 sub, vocal presence that punches through, and the maximum loudness that defines 6ix9ine's in-your-face aesthetic.

6ix9ine Type Beat Mastering: Maximum Aggression and Loudness

6ix9ine's production — especially GOOBA and Trollz — is designed to be maximally abrasive and loud. It's the antithesis of Drake's refined OVO sound. If you're making beats in this style, subtlety is the enemy.

The Aggressive Trap Formula

Heavy 55 Hz sub: Lower than typical trap (which sits around 60 Hz), the 6ix9ine 808 hits at 50–60 Hz for maximum chest impact. Boost here aggressively — 2 dB is not too much.

250 Hz cleanup: In a busy, aggressive mix, 250 Hz mud is the enemy. Cut 2–3 dB to keep the low end punchy rather than boomy.

3 kHz vocal presence: This is the "in your face" frequency. A boost at 2.5–3.5 kHz adds aggressive forward energy. This is where Tekashi's vocal delivery naturally sits — cutting beats that boost here allow vocals to sit in the mix naturally.

8–12 kHz brightness: Crispy hi-hats and bright percussion cuts through. A shelf boost in this region adds the kind of harsh brightness that characterizes aggressive trap.

Compression: Fast and Punchy

Use fast attack (1–3ms) and fast release (40–60ms) compression. This makes the mix feel tight and punchy — every element hits hard. Ratio 4:1 to 6:1. You want more gain reduction here than on smoother styles — 3–5 dB is appropriate.

The Maximized Limiter

6ix9ine tracks are loud. Very loud. Set your ceiling at -0.3 dBTP and hit the limiter hard enough to get an integrated LUFS of -7 to -8. Yes, this is louder than streaming targets, which means it'll get turned down on Spotify — but for YouTube and SoundCloud plays without normalization, the energy hits differently.

If targeting streaming, aim for -9 to -10 LUFS as a compromise — still loud and aggressive, but within streaming range.

Zero Subtlety Philosophy

Every decision in 6ix9ine mastering should be "more." More bass. More highs. More loudness. More compression. This isn't the place for audiophile restraint. The aesthetic demands it.
